Royersford is part of Spring Ford Area School District and is situated just across the river from Spring City, which is located in the Owen J. Roberts School District. This historical town has a main street shopping area which has seen the influx of new business and shops, as well as many small businesses and neighborhood shopping centers that serve residents in portions of the surrounding townships of Limerick and Upper Providence.
