You may have heard broadcasted news of sweeping changes within the real estate industry stemming from a lawsuit against Multiple Listing Services- the database where agents share listing information with other agents. There are a lot of details to all of this, and we’re breaking it down to what affects consumers most.

  • This is a mandatory change for all Realtors nationwide.
  • Starting in August, a real estate agent can only show you a home if you have a written and signed agency agreement with them (verbal no longer suffices)
  • The terms are negotiable and to be agreed upon before the agent begins working with you
  • This will outline the roles and responsibilities, compensation (including options for payment), and duration or could be for a specific house

We know that choosing the right agent to assist you in buying a home is a significant decision and shouldn’t be rushed just to see a property. We provide no-obligation consultations so you can review your options and choose the best path forward.

As a reminder, we are licensed in both PA & NC and would be happy to perform a more in-depth and customized analysis for your home and search area.

Who do you know who is looking to move? We would greatly appreciate an introduction to them!
